Cultural Literacy Programme (LIVE) is a University-wide programme to
a. Provide a platform for students to explore, experience and express their interest in arts and culture, it is a place with possibilities;
b. Fill the gap in the academic curriculum in artistic and cultural education, and to ensure a comprehensive learning experience in arts and culture for students;
c. Facilitate the use of the creative arts for students as a means to serve the community, and to connect with people from different backgrounds; and
d. Motivate students and staff members to contribute to a vibrant cultural atmosphere on campus, and to foster a creative, artistic and cultural image of HKBU.

香港浸會大學劇社是一個由學生組成的非牟利組織,由 1956 年成立至今一直致力推廣戲劇文化及提 高學生對戲劇的興趣和認識。現在不單已經成為浸會大學最大規模的學會之一,更是其中一個香港 現存歷史最悠久的戲劇組織。

Academic Community Hall, HKBU 香港浸會大學 大學會堂
Academic Community Hall was the idea of Dr Lam Chi-fung, the founder and first President of Hong Kong Baptist College, to build a large hall for various events. The opening ceremony was officiated by then Hong Kong Governor Sir MacLehose on the 19th May 1978. Over the past 40 years, numerous renowned local and international artists performed here.
The Academic Community Hall was designed based on the principle of “simple and functional”. The auditorium has two floors with the seating capacity of 1,346. It is suitable for concerts, musicals, variety shows, ceremonies, religious functions and seminars, it also served as the competition venue for the Hong Kong Schools Music and Speech Festival for decades.
